Today is Show And Tell Friday, hosted by Kelli at There Is No Place Like Home.
My show and tell today is our collection of vintage lawn chairs that Mr. B has picked up here and there.

Four of the chairs have the scalloped backs, and three have the straighter backs. I don’t know how old these are, maybe as far back as the 40s? I have no idea.
I’ve seen these chairs two ways, either freshly painted in bright, pretty colors, or left alone and used chippy and shabby. We haven’t decided what we want to do with these yet. We drag them out every once in awhile when we need extra chairs, or something sturdier than the usual plastic lawn chairs.
We store all our lawn chairs and tables in an out-of-the-way spot at the far end of our backyard, so it was hard to get a good photo in the rain yesterday, and I see Mr. B has some project wood stacked on them too, so here’s an older photo of one of the chairs, taken during the fall when we had just gotten the chairs.

Here are a couple more old chairs in a different style. They look like they might be out of the 60s, but that’s just a wild guess, and I really have no clue. I’m going to put a fresh coat of black on them and use them in a tiny secluded seating area I’m making in our sideyard.

Visit Kelli’s blog to see what other ladies are sharing today. Hope you all have a happy Friday.
Way cool. I hope soon you’ll show us the finished look for show n tell.
My show n tell is decades old toys. Come on over if you can find time.
Happy Friday.
Nice post. Make sure you post what you do with them and how. Have a good weekend.

Well, I think they will last longer if you paint them but I’d stick with original colors. I see these in other yards. I remember sitting in similar ones when I was a little girl but not where.

I love these! My mom has two green ones (left the lazy shabby way) that get LOTS of use! What a nice collection you have:)
What a great collection. I think I’d be inclined to paint them. Let us know what you decide.

Good morning. Oh I don’t think I would paint them! They look wonderful. A good scrubbing, maybe some pretty cushions and a few pillows and you’d be good to go! (A lot less work too! hehehe)
Love these!!!
Wow, you have a lot of chairs. I love the different shapes.
Very cool! I love them. My neighbors all had those chairs (and variations of them) on their porches when I was a kid. Thanks for jogging that memory!
